Mitch Evans is named 'Driver of the Month'
23 May 2011Following his recent GP3 Series victory in Barcelona, Mitch Evans has been named 'Driver of the Month' by a popular European motorsport website, Driver Database.
The BankLink-sponsored motorsport star is only 16 years of age and took out the top spot for the month of May 2011 over nine other drivers.
The decision was made solely by votes, showing his popularity among motorsport fans from New Zealand and around the globe.
Mitch's dad, Owen Evans, tells us it also marks the first time a GP3 driver has been nominated (and now won) this title.
